ICT Support Technician

Salary :
Seeking candidates interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position will be the first point of contact for any IT related matters in the UK business, along with administration and configuration of all IT assets that they might use, physical repairs of hardware, procurement of any IT related assets and administration of all user accounts ensuring compliance to audited SOX requirements. Working in Long Marston, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive ICT Support Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide front line helpdesk support on software and hardware queries
* Develop and implement helpdesk procedures
* Provide regular analyses to prevent re-occurrence
* Carry out daily backup duties
* Deploy hardware for new users and/or replace older, failing hardware for existing users
* Repair failed hardware wherever possible to redeploy on the business
* Setup new accounts, ensuring compliance to externally and internally audited SOX requirements
* Grant access to ERP systems, ensuring compliance to externally and internally audited SOX requirements
* Complete monthly checks on starters and leavers in compliance with existing IT SOX requirements
* Support mobiles through troubleshooting, procurement, upgrading and refurbishment
* Assist the ICT department in the procurement of ICT equipment, software and consumables
* Assist with the installation and administration of facilities when required
* Assist with maintenance of internal phone systems

* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent and has Microsoft accreditations
* Experience of providing IT helpdesk support, especially with ERP systems.
* Detailed knowledge of PC’s and Windows 10 operating systems, preferably MCP qualified
* Detailed knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
* Experience of Active Directory, creating, updating and deleting accounts
* Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures
* Basic knowledge of databases
* Experience and knowledge of disassembling and reassembling hardware
* Experience of procuring hardware and software
* Knowledge and experience of supporting mobile phone and tablets in a corporate environment
* Experience of supporting printers in a network environment, especially multi-function printers
* Basic knowledge of servers
