£675 – £775/day inside IR35, remote/hybrid working (2 days on site) 6 months initial contract
Clarity Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Tech Lead for our Client based in Birmingham. You'll have 3 years+ relevant experience gained in Financial Services, Banking, Consulting or Corporate Technology, Data Warehouse, Data Centre, etc.
The Role:
Infrastructure Tech Lead to help deliver and to enhance infrastructure & services. Must have experience managing tasks & delegating tasks to team Infrastructure Engineers.
Skills – much of:
* A strong understanding of integration, Servers, network infrastructure, VPN's, databases, SAN infrastructure, Cloud (Azure) Migration, Cloud Security, Infrastructure, Platform, Software as a service, IaaS, PaaS & SaaS
* Monitoring team progress, prioritising work, delegating tasks & allocating tasks to infrastructure engineers
* Reporting task/job progress in a regular & timely manner to the Project Manager/Delivery Manager
* Microsoft Server Administration (upgrade standardisation & automation)
* VMWare
* Windows, M365, Office 365, Windows Server, server upgrades & migrations
* Delivery & Administration of M 365 Estates
Advantageous:
* Linux, PowerShell Scripting
* Application upgrades, patching & migrations
* SOAP, REST
* SFTP – secure file transfer, VPN's
* Advantageous if you have experience of Automation technologies, DevOps, Ansible, python, etc
* Cloud adoption, transition to Cloud, specifically Azure.
* Cloud Security, Cloud Architecture
* APIs, service & micro-service architecture
* MSMQ, Messaging, Message Queues
* Authentication & Access Management, IAM, PAM, AD, Active Directory, ADFS, Kerberos, LDAP
* Advantageous but not essential if you have experience of data warehouses, relational DB's in particular SQL Server or Oracle
Responsibilities:
* Effective management and facilitation of Incident, Problem, Change and Service Transition for the Infrastructure platform (including software and hardware updates specifically server operating systems, server capacity, application and hardware)
* Develop and deliver agreed KPIs on a weekly/monthly basis for Performance Reporting & Service Reporting for the Infrastructure
* Responsible for the consistent delivery of the Infrastructure with a focus on Authentication and Access Management services
* Responsible for the operational management of, physical Servers and storage, diagnostic system management.
* Responsible for performing root cause analysis to identify and evaluate issues and problems raised, and to ensure that they are either mitigated or resolved, to agree timescales and standards.
* Provide expert advice to the various management team's on future planning activities and roadmap for Infrastructure improvements, including cost analysis
