Interim Operations Manager

* Leading Food brand, operating within foodservice and retail
The Operations Manager Role:
* Support the Head of Food Production in monitoring projects
* Manage stock control and inventory checks, specifically on spare parts
* Ensure equipment, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and in working order
* Effectively resolve any maintenance issues on each shift and small projects by delegating to the right skills in the team or scheduling external contractors
* Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
* Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
* Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to removal in a safe and lawful disposal
* Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
* Communicate changes to relevant parties.
* Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times
Ideal Candidate:
* Must have experience of working as Operations Manager in food manufacturing
* Must be available immediately
* Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
* Competent in problem solving
* Resilient, optimistic, and open to change
* A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others
* Focused and target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
* Attention to detail, ensuring minor site problems do not become major site problems
* Anticipates and overcomes obstacles
* Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
* Expert-level knowledge of sector processes
