We are looking to recruit an Intermediate level Building Services Engineer at an early stage of their career, interested in working for a major Main-Contractor involved in Prestigious large scale infrastructure Projects. The role is very interesting and will involve project managing M&E Installation. The role is based predominantly on Projects in London.
Our client is an internationally recognised blue chip engineering group. They have a worldwide presence.
We are looking for someone with Building Services site experience for this role. The ideal candidate would have completed a Building Services related apprenticeship and have between 1 and 4 years site experience in a supervisory capacity. Site experience is more important than qualifications, although appropriate qualifications gained in a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Apprenticeship are necessary.
Our client will also consider paying for day relased to pursue an HND in Building Services Engineering.
The role involves project managing M&E Installation from a main-contractor perspective. This is a client-facing role, taking projects through from inception to completion. This Engineer role within the busy M&E Team will involve you working closely with Established Senior M&E Project Managers whilst you learn. The role has excellent potential as our client is specifically looking for someone to train up to become an M&E Project Manager in the medium term. We expect this role to lead to a Project Management position after a couple of years.
We are looking for someone with experience gained with either a M&E Building Services sub contractor or Main Contractor. This is a 'second job' type role. We are looking for someone who already has good experience of building services contracting in a junior-level role, but who is looking to take their career to the next level.
Our client are involved in new-build development, refurbishment and fitout work. Work covers a diverse range of sectors (commercial Offices / Retail / Leisure / Government / Education / MOD / transport / Sports Venues etc.) Projects are typically worth between £1M and £12M in M&E value, They are a successful and growing company.
You need to be a good learner, confident dealing with the client and peers. This role will involve increasing your level of responsibility as your experience grows. You will be responsible for overseeing M&E Contractors on site. Our client would like to steadily train you up until you are capable of managing M&E Contracts in your own right.
1-4 years of site-based Building Services Engineering experience in building services is a pre-requisite for this role. Our client is prepared to consider people based towards either Mechanical or Electrical Building Services provided they are interested in developing a career in M&E Project Management for a Main Contractor
