Although welcome, no previous Chef experience is required for this role as full training will be provided. Our Organisation
The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium.
Cheltenham Town Hall is rich in heritage, opulence, and vibrancy and sets a stunning backdrop for an impressive year-round events programme including live music, comedy, festivals, and exhibitions. Our newest development, The Garden Bar Orangery combines traditional Italian pizzeria culture with new and exciting visions. Due to rapid growth, we have exciting developments planned as we broaden our horizons, build a new menu, and plan to grow rapidly over the coming months.

The Role – Junior Chef
Reporting to our Executive Head Chef, you’ll prepare and cook food as specified on the menus across our venues, including our brand-new Garden Bar and Skillicorne Gardens, capable of accommodating up to 80 guests for a seated dinner. You’ll also manage food stock rotation and ordering of food produce.
The Package
* Permanent contract, working 40 hours per week between the hours of 11am and 8pm, 5 days out of 7 per week on a rolling rota. We strive to look after our team, and our rotas are developed with this in mind

Our Requirements – Junior Chef
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate
* Passion for food, and willingness to learn
* Ability to work alone and manage / prioritise workload
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Customer-focused, flexible, motivated, team-player approach
Although not essential, as full training will be provided, an NVQ Level 1 / 2 / 3 in a food related subject would be advantageous, as would experience gained in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
