About Us:
We are collaborating with a prestigious UK gaming studio, in their search for a Junior Graphic Artist. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to their innovative game projects while maintaining their high artistic standards and technical requirements.
Position Overview:
As a Junior Graphic Artist with our client, you will join a dynamic design team, assisting in the creation of visually appealing games. Your work will involve a range of art styles, from fantasy to realism, across diverse and exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
2D Art Creation: Craft high-quality 2D assets, including concepts, icons, backgrounds, characters, GUI elements, and in-game assets, in various art styles.
Animation: Utilise Esoteric Spine software for animating symbols, backgrounds, and effects.
Artistic Adaptability: Adjust your artwork style to harmonise with existing art from external partners.
Attention to Detail: Deliver meticulously polished art assets while efficiently managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Game Design team to breathe life into concepts and maintain a consistent artistic vision.
Guideline Adherence: Adhere to art guidelines and technical constraints, preparing art elements for integration into the software.
Development Integration: Collaborate with the software team to incorporate graphics into our games.
Quality Assurance: Play an active role in game development, ensuring successful implementation through comprehensive testing.
Localisation: Contribute to game localisation efforts.Qualifications and Essential Skills:
Portfolio: A link to your online portfolio is essential.
Artistic Proficiency: Strong foundational art skills, including colour theory, lighting, form, and composition.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, with experience in Esoteric Spine as a valuable asset.
Artistic Adaptability: Ability to adapt your art style for characters, backgrounds, and UI design.
Typography: A strong understanding of typography.
Time Management: Effective self-management, task prioritisation, and multitasking skills.
Technical Proficiency: Solid PC technical skills and familiarity with in-house tools used for our framework.Preferences:
Experience working in mobile/digital games.
Knowledge of Esoteric Spine is a plus.
Prior experience in UI design.Benefits:
