Junior Sous Chef
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £30366/annum
We are currently looking for a Junior Sous Chef to work with our client, a well-established Specialist Contract Catering Company. The position will be based at an independent school in Reigate,Surrey.
Answering to the Executive Chef you will be expected to assist the manager in the management of the kitchen operation at all times ensuring the company’s food quality and reputation is maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in a professional catering environment and have the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare fresh and timely delivered food in a friendly, busy and demanding position. In addition, you will be expected to: –
* Co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the kitchen / service areas as requested to ensure an effective service is delivered at all times
* Planning, preparing and cooking menu items as directed by the Head Chef.
* Operate Kitchen equipment according to the Clients and Manufacturers Hygiene, Health & Safety polices
* Possess a willingness to work under pressure and in timely manner
* Show commitment to Company values in all aspects of the role
Your working days are Sunday to Thursdays, but would need you to be flexible to cover other days when needed. You will be covering Lunch and evening services for between (Apply online only) covers.
Pleas note you will need to have a DBS clearance for this position.
