Kitchen/ Catering Assistant – ( Care Setting) Barnsley, South Yorkshire (S70)
We are currently recruiting for a Full-time or Part-time Kitchen Assistant who’s passionate about food and wants to make a difference in a care / Hospital setting in Barnsley, South Yorkshire
On offer is a competitive salary of £20,800 pro-rata & and excellent benefits (hourly rate of £10)
You will assist in the preparation of balanced, appetizing meals, performing cooking tasks & other kitchen duties. You will also rotate stock & put away all deliveries and maintain personal hygiene to comply with standards and food hygiene regulations
You will have experience in a similar kitchen assistant or catering environment role, and hold a food Hygiene certification/ qualification (desirable)- have a friendly, positive attitude, and have good communication skills

Contracts are for 8-hour shifts between 8 am 4 pm ( these can be discussed with a slightly later start, etc) plus the chance to do overtime and Bank shifts – this is over 7 days either part-time or full time so some weekend work will be required
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance
