Kitchen Assistant
Job Type : Permanent, Part Time, Part Time
Salary : £18000 – £19700/annum
We are recruiting for Kitchen Assistants (Multiple) for our client – an initial accommodation centre based in Birmingham, Both full time and part time positions available.
The purpose of the job is to assist the Head Cook and Assistant Cook in the preparation of meals for service users whilst maintaining Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and to work on rotas which include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Main Duties:
* Prepare and cook food under supervision
* Liaise with service users to ensure quality food is always served
* Maintain and adhere to the HACCP system in the kitchen.
* Beware of service user cultural and dietary requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen and dining area.
* Ensure that all services meet the companies specified standards and service levels
* Assist the Head Cook with the Management of the Assistant Cooks especially in the absence of the Head
* Other duties require and full job description given on application
Requirements:
* You can work 40 hours per week sometimes evenings, weekends and bank holidays or lower hours with some flexibility depending on your needs
* Level 2 in food and Hygiene
