Kitchen Assistant
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £10.50/hour
Our client based on the outskirts of Lincoln is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work at their on-site restaurant for a production company. In this role you will be required to serve customers and generally assist in all aspects of the kitchen/restaurant environment.
For this role you will be required to assist in the following areas:
* Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to
* Serving customers Hot and Cold Food on the front counter in a polite and courteous manner
* Taking payment from customers and using the till
* Ensuring the Vending Machines are replenished and well stocked
* Ensuring that tables and the restaurant area are kept clean and tidy
* Assist with the preparation of fresh sandwiches
* Assist with the preparation of vegetables and meals
* Assisting the kitchen with any general food prep
* Ensuring all crockery and cutlery is washed and ready for customers to use
* Assisting with the washing and cleaning of all restaurant equipment
* Work in a way which minimizes or eliminates food safety risks such as cross contamination
* Put and store waste in designated places
* Ensure finished product is separated from raw materials to prevent cross contamination or any other hazards to food safety
* Ensure that the hygiene standards are maintained at all times for the equipment and staff and ancillary areas, and that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Keep all equipment in good working order.
This is a Monday to Friday position working 9am to 1pm.
Must have food safety level 2.
