KITCHEN ASSISTANT
Our client is a multi-award-winning organisation looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter to join their Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.
The role of Kitchen Porter will involve the delivery of Hospitality Services within their Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to excellent standards.
Working 5 days out of 7 including some weekends starting at 11.30am and ending at 7.30pm.
What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter
You will have a key role ensuring they deliver an excellent service to their customers, creating an inviting and pleasant environment. Your core duties will involve:
* Ensure general kitchen activities are delivered to the required standard so that the highest standards maintained across Jewish Care.
* Ensure on all occasions safe and hygienic working practices are delivered in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
* Consistently deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships with colleagues and services, always responding to feedback to improve the service.
* Covering and supporting the wider hospitality teams when requested, including frequent assistance with Housekeeping and Events teams.
Who they are looking for?
You will ideally have previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment, working both independently and within a team. You will need:
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to undertake this qualification)
* Great communication skills, confident speaking to a range of people
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Willing to undertake appropriate training (e.g., Supervision, NVQ Training)
