About the Kitchen Assistant:
We are looking for a passionate Kitchen Assistant to be part of an exceptional team within our modern, purpose-built care home. Every person in our homes plays a key role in the happiness and comfort of our residents. Mealtimes are such an important part of every day, and as such, you will be part of team that delivers appetising, nutritional, and delicious dishes for our residents to enjoy. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join us at Encore. You will be part of an ambitious, growing company and supported by a remarkable team.
Main duties and responsibilities as a Kitchen Assistant:
* The preparation of meals under supervision of the Head Chef
* Ensuring the highest standards of the presentation of dishes
* Ensure dietary requirements of residents are always met by following their care plan
* Ensure the highest standards of hygiene are always observed within the kitchen
* Respect and maintain residents’ privacy and dignity
* Supporting the Kitchen team in a variety of duties
Skills and experience you need as Kitchen Assistant:
* Confidence in your own skills and performance and share in our pride and passion in delivering great care.
* Be a good communicator.
* Be a good team player
* Be able to prioritise.
* Flexibility to work hours/shifts/weekend.
* Be friendly, kind, honest, reassuring person.
* Experience in a similar role preferred.
