We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team based at New Bradley Hall. You will join us on a casual basis in return for a competitive salary of £10.55 per hour.

New Bradley Hall is a purpose built, dementia friendly home, offering the highest quality of residential care in a stylish and homely environment. The home provides 66 en-suite rooms across three floors, all furnished to the highest standard. There are a range of lounges and quiet rooms, so that individuals are able to enjoy a varied lifestyle. Within the home there is also a purpose built cinema room, on-site hairdressing facilities and a café area. Our aim is to provide the right care, tailored to meet residents’ individual needs and preferences. We want to support residents to maximise their independence.

New Bradley Hall are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant. The main purpose of the role is to prepare food and assist the Cook to ensure the efficient running of the kitchen.

Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to: 

Assisting with the preparation of all foods, to meet specification and customer requirements.

Presenting and serving of food in a friendly efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Receiving new stock, checking quality and quantity and maintaining records to meet the relevant food hygiene regulations.

Deputising in the absence of the Cook

Ensuring correct stock rotation, storage and cleanliness of stores.

Skills and Experience required if you want to become our Kitchen Assistant:

Possess food hygiene certificate

Possess City & Guilds or equivalent in (NVQ 2) professional cookery or be willing to work towards

Experience in preparation and serving of food within a large catering operation

Capable of moderate physical activity, i.e. lifting saucepans, standing for long periods of time.

Willing and capable to be flexible and adjust to various work places, duties and hours.
