Kitchen Assistant – St Catherine's C of E Primary School

Salary : £10.50/annum
Part Time/Term Time 16 hours per week (with potential for flexibility) 38 weeks per annum
An opportunity has arisen to join our successful federation at St Catherine's Primary School, Heathfield near Newton Abbot, as a kitchen assistant. You will work alongside the Kitchen Manager at the school.
Main tasks include: food preparation, serving both children and adults, washing up and cleaning the kitchen area. Deputising for Line Manager during times of absence.
You will be a committed and professional person with a welcoming personality. Previous experience of working in catering desirable but not essential as training can be given. A good knowledge of food hygiene and preparation is also desirable. A moderate amount of lifting is necessary as part of the duties will include taking provisions. A Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification or equivalent is desirable, however, training can be given if necessary.
You will be based at St Catherine's Primary School, however, you may occasionally need to visit other schools within the federation for training purposes.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
