At SSP UK we now are recruiting for a talented and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our team at James Martin Kitchen at Glasgow Airport.

We are the leading operator of restaurants, bars, cafes and food courts in travel locations. Established for more than 60 years, our operations feature a mix of food and beverage brands tailored specifically for each location. James Martin Kitchen is a premium café offering a delicious variety of food and drinks, with ingredients sourced as fresh and locally as possible, making it the ideal place for all travellers who either want to grab and go or take a seat and relax before their flight.

Managing a team of around 8, you will be instrumental in motivating and developing them to deliver high-quality food, made to set specifications, consistently. You will also be responsible for supporting in the delivery of operational and financial results such as GP and stock control, and ensuring the kitchen is staffed to meet business needs within budget, as well as ensuring compliance with health & safety, food hygiene and licensing requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Kitchen Management experience within a high-volume bar or restaurant or similar branded commercial kitchen environment.
* Good understanding and passion for food and delivering consistently high standards in quality and presentation.
* Evidence of having motivated and developed your team to deliver excellent levels of customer service and standards, and develop their skills for future progression.
* Commercial acumen and knowledge of the financial controls required when running a kitchen – cost control, stock and labour management, GP targets and P&L reviews.
