Kitchen Porter
Duties for Kitchen Porter:
* Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
* Washing dishes manually and also by using the dishwasher.
* Cleaning pots, pans and any other kitchen utensils.
* Kitchen Porter must maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
* Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware.
* Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
* Kitchen Porter must empty bins when they are full.
* Reporting any fault equipment to the kitchen manager or chef and then arranging for their repair.
* Kitchen Porter must keep the storerooms well stocked and organised at all times.
* Keeping breakages down to a minimum.
* Taking all dirty linen and cloths from the kitchen to the laundry.
* Handling all glasses and china with great care.
* Kitchen Porter must assist in other areas of the building when required to.
* Using the correct amount of specialist chemicals when cleaning work surfaces and equipment.
* Ensuring that at the end of the shift the kitchen is ready for the morning staff.
Full time and part time hours available
Shifts could include: 11am-3pm or 8am-4pm, or thereabouts.
All shifts are Monday-Friday
Some weekends available if prefered, which are paid at enhanced rates
