What will you be doing?

Ensure that Veolia Landfill and Waste Treatment facilities are operated and developed to a standard of the site permit.

Develop, control and monitor budgets in the assigned areas to ensure all activities remain in line with the budget.

Actively support and contribute to the continuous improvement of the companies management systems incorporating Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.

Achieve targeted levels of operating income, manage importing and exporting materials off and on site.

Deliver growth projects and secure appropriate new business to ensure growth targets are achieved.

Managing a team of 6 direct reports / 16 employees with wider responsibility

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in a similar role within the waste industry within landfill / hazardous waste management

Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC)

Environmental / Science degree or equivalent qualification

Experience of managing all financial aspects of landfill management – profit and loss, budgeting and cost control.

A good understanding of Environmental Legislation and EA

Full UK Driving Licence.
