Reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Our client works in both the Commercial & Residential sectors, and they are looking for a supervisor with a passion for horticulture to join their Maintenance team on a mobile round.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Co-ordination of resources including staff, machinery, vehicles, materials, plants and equipment.
* Conduct basic practical training and mentoring sessions with new and existing staff members.
* Effectively manage staff performance and promptly raise shortcomings with the Operations Manager.
* Ensure work instructions are issued to staff and verify completion.
* Ensure project schedules are carried out as instructed.
* Report promptly and accurately on all activities to the Project Manager.
* Ensure Health and Safety compliance at all times, including weekly Health & Safety reporting: equipment checklists, vehicle reports etc.
Duties may also include:
* All aspects of gardening, maintenance, and horticulture
* Lawn care
* Chemical applications and record keeping (training / supervision will be given)
* Ground clearance / seasonal work
* Maintenance of hard surfaces / gardens
* Tending and upkeep of flower beds, borders, and containers
* Pruning and trimming – Specialised
* Maintenance / cleaning of water features including irrigation systems.
Requirements:
* Highly organised and professional in approach with a keen eye for detail
* Good and clear communication skills as you will be speaking to clients, and the public.
* PA1 / PA6 spraying licence desirable.
* UK Driving licence essential.
* RHS or equivalent in horticulture would be beneficial.
* High level of horticulture/plant knowledge required.
* Experience on machinery including ride on lawn mowers, use of strimmer's / hedge cutters.
