Duty Crime Solicitor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Solicitor to join our Clients Crime Department. Ideally, we are looking to recruit a Solicitor that has at least 3 years post qualified experience. However, we would consider newly qualified solicitors as well.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload undertaking fee earning work for clients in the field of Criminal Law and representing clients both in court and at the police station.
Day to day you will be acting as an advocate in court on a wide variety of cases and preparing cases for Crown Court and acting as a Duty Solicitor so you should be able to work outside normal office hours as necessary.
Flexibility to travel and work from various offices and attend Courts at different locations is also vital.
It is essential that the applicant have a sound knowledge of Criminal Law, combined with strong management, communication, and organisational skills. Due to the nature of this role, there is a lot of interaction with individuals face to face and via phone so a polite and patient manner is essential
