Salary : £40000 – £70000/annum

An exciting opportunity for an Associate/Senior Associate, Private Client Solicitor to be part of an established and growing organisation in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Role:

My client currently have an opportunity for an Associate/Senior Associate to join their busy Private Client department. The Private Client team has an enviable reputation and wishes to recruit a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Solicitor who will be manage their own caseload.

The successful candidate can expect to be involved in working on

• Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney;
• Executory administration;
• Trust creation and administration;
• Tax planning;
• Guardianship applications; and
• General Private Client business.

Key Responsibilities:

• The type of work is broad ranging, stimulating and often innovative. The successful candidate will also be involved in the preparation and delivery of research and training from time to time and in networking activities generally. Commercial awareness is essential.

Experience Required:

• Applicants should have the relevant post qualifying experience (3years+ PQE), preferably gained within a similarly reputable Private Client department.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• In addition to being able to demonstrate relevant legal expertise, the successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants must be able to juggle a busy and varied workload, have an enthusiastic approach to work and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Ideally, the successful applicant will have achieved STEP Membership or be willing to work towards achieving this accreditation.
