My client are a well-established law firm based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire are offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our team due to continued business growth.
We are looking for a diligent, confident, self-motivated and experienced person to fill the role of Legal Assistant
Experience required
Role Responsibilities
*
Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness
*
Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.
*
Administratively support and attend trials
*
Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories and testimony
*
Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research
*
Locate and develop case relevant information
*
Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence
*
Answer and direct phone calls
*
Maintain contact lists
*
Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
Experience Required
*
A minimum of six months experience in a similar role either in-house or within private practice
*
Basic legal background i.e. knowledge of fundamental legal concepts
*
Confidence to manage colleagues’ expectations and ensure delivery by following up on items which have been promised
*
Writing skills- to be applied in written papers for internal and external release
*
Proven working experience as Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
*
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
*
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
*
Computer literacy
*
Proficiency in English
*
Working knowledge of case management software
*
Excellent secretarial and organisational skills
*
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Salary/Hours
*
My client is offering a salary of up to 22k Per Annum.
*
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am til 5pm
