Our Client are a leading Legal business providing services across multiple global locations.
This is a predominantly home based role with some travel to Leeds centre office therefore we will consider applicants who are available immediately from any location.
About the Role
The Finance Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all payments received from our clients for services provided by our client are allocated correctly and in a timely manner. The payments are received in to multiple bank accounts and in various currencies. The role requires a methodical approach and a high level of attention to detail due to the industry's regulatory requirements.
In addition, the Finance Administrator will be responsible for resolving queries for both internal and
external clients. They will work to deadlines, contribute towards projects, communicate openly, and
operate effectively in a team environment.
The responsibilities for the role will include, but are not limited to:
* Ensure all Cash receipts received are processed accurately and in a timely manner in line with the firm's current processes and policies and any relevant regulatory requirements
* Investigate unidentified cash receipts and resolve them in the appropriate and timely manner in accordance with the firm's policies and any relevant regulatory requirements
* Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to the appropriate resolution
* Monitor the firm's accounts help inbox and ensure all emails that require distribution to folders for either another department's action or for filing purposes are sent to the correct location
* Additionally to action any queries received relating to this department are resolved or if necessary escalated in a timely manner
* Provide a high standard of professional customer service to both internal staff and external clients with a high level of both written and verbal communication
* Ad hoc duties appropriate to the role (inc. cover for other finance shared service functions)
* To perform internal housekeeping on shared drives and mailbox folders on a regular basis
* Complete all Statuary training within the time frames set
* Ensure compliance in line with the Firm's procedures and, where applicable, local country legal requirements including the appropriate anti money laundering legislation
EXPERIENCE Required
Previous experience as a legal cashier or experience gained in some form of finance field such a Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Accounts receivable, Financial services, Credit Control etc.

* Fluency in written and spoken English

* Able to deliver to deadlines

* Ability to organise and prioritise under a backlog situation
