Salary : £21000 – £23000/annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Administrator to join a well-established firm. The role will be working in the Conveyancing department and the successful candidate must have strong communication and legal research skills, have high attention to detail and be well organized whilst working to deadlines.
ROLE:
File opening and closing, data input, completion of forms and preparation of anti-money laundering documentation.
Setting up the paper file and file labels and letters for fee earner reviews.
Preparation of bills and liaising with accounts.
Filing time sheets, incoming correspondence, outgoing copies, invoices, reports and paper files in/out of the filing system. Assisting with file checking and organising in preparation for semi-annual quality audits.
Checking deeds in and out of the deeds storage facility.
Requesting and tracking the progress of searches with online providers such as NLIS, Land Registry Direct and Companies House.
Printing, scanning, copying documents and distributing post.
Assisting with completions and post completion tasks including, but not limited to, arranging bank transfers, submitting SDLT returns and registration of transfers and leases.
Conducting legal research, checking documentation and proofreading.
Preparing bundles of documents. (deeds) and completing legal forms.
Liaising with lenders regarding mortgage advances.
Producing draft documents such (transfers and dealing with completions).
Liaising with clients and others associated with transfer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Min. 6 months experience as an employed Legal Administrator or Paralegal is essential.
Law Degree, LPC Qualified or Legal Executive qualification.
Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm)
Salary: £21,000 – £23,000
