In-house Solicitor/ Head of Legal – Charity
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £70000 – £75000/annum
My client is currently recruiting for an In-house Solicitor/ Head of Legal to join their team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Main Purpose
* Coordination of all legal work for the Trust including: Governing documentation, Terms of Reference, Insurances, Charity Commission and Companies House documentation, ad hoc contracts and agreements e.g. with Joint Venture partners, housing partners and all documentation relating to property and land purchases and sales;
* Managing and taking responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive legal, company secretarial and governance service, advising senior stakeholders, directors, committee members on a wide range of company law, regulatory and governance issues;
* Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and ensuring that the business is compliant with applicable laws/regulations;
* To inform and advise the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Team with regard to their legal responsibilities;
* Responsibility for Contracts management;
* Operating at a senior level, with little direction, which will require intelligent decision-making and building strong relationships with key senior stakeholders – both internally and externally.

Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
* Proven experience in a similar role – minimum 6 years
