Legal Secretary – Conveyancing
Our client is a well-established law firm based in Woking and they are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their extremely busy property department. This is a temporary contract and expected to last 3 months with the view of turning permanent.
Your key duties will be:
* Open new files
* Conduct the online conveyancing searches, process when received
* Act as point of contact in solicitors’ absence as required
* Liaise with third parties to request or give information as needed
* Contact clients to provide updates or feedback on their queries
* Update file notes and ensure all parties are kept up to date in the process
* Manage emails and draft replies or correspondence, when required
* Scan and convert all hardcopy documentation including daily post, save to case and alert the solicitor as appropriate
* Support the completions and billing process, answering simple client queries
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
* The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and therefore previous experience of working within a residential conveyancing team is essential
* Knowledge of P4W case management system, or similar, would be advantageous.
* The position would suit a candidate with a resilient and pro-active outlook.
