Diamond Search Recruitment are working with a well-established and reputable law firm in Maidstone, and we are seeking a Duty Qualified, Police Station Accredited Criminal Solicitor to join their successful team.
This role is ideal for a qualified Criminal Solicitor with 3+ years PQE. The successful candidate will have solid experience in a similar role and a good understanding of Private and Public Criminal Defence matters. You will be experienced in managing a full and varied caseload to include Internet & Social Media, Road Traffic Offences, Actual Bodily Harm, Racial Aggravation and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
* To act as an advocate in court on a wide variety of cases
* To prepare cases for Crown Court and to represent clients at police stations
* To act as a Duty Solicitor
* Drafting legal documents
* To work outside office hours as necessary
* Flexibility to travel and work from any of our offices and attend Courts at different locations
* Ability to work within the discipline of office targets, budgets and billing requirements
* To undertake appropriate continuing education to update and retain knowledge of Criminal Law
Essential Requirements:
* Duty Qualified
* Experience of representing clients at the police station on a wide range of offences
* Be a member of the Criminal Law Accreditation Scheme
* Conducting own advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court
