Salary : £21499 – £21500/annum DOE

Our client based in Wilmslow are seeking Office Injury Compensation Team Claims Handler for their new team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to kick start their career as a fee earner with a well established firm. This role is a natural starting point for any aspiring fee earner who is keen to obtain exposure of dealing with new claims and then also handling those cases through to settlement

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

* Taking calls from new potential clients in an overflow capacity

* Assessing prospects and advising accordingly

* Providing an outstanding level of service to new clients

* Giving advice to clients

* Valuing medical reports

* Collation and assessment of evidence and reviewing supporting documentation

* Negotiating quantum

* Identifying potential cases that can be handled outside of the OIC portal

* Preparing court proceedings

* General admin tasks

You will be dealing with all aspects of the claim from cradle to grave on any liability admitted claim.

This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis working on a shift pattern including late shifts and weekends on a rotation basis as follows;

Flexible working pattern of 8.00 – 4.30pm, (phone number removed)pm, 11.30- 8.00pm, Monday to Friday on rotation. Any requests for permanent, set shift pattern would be considered upon request.

Flexible working pattern to include no more than 1 weekend shift in a month – Saturday/ Sunday – 9.00 – 5.00pm or 10.00 – 4.00pm

Flexible working pattern to include any bank holidays

The role will require candidates to work in a fast paced environment with a soft touch approach to dealing with new claims. Candidates should have excellent client care skills, professional approach to working in the legal sector, confident telephone manner and the ability to work well in a team.
