Machine and Bagging Operative
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £12.63/hour
Our Client in York are looking for Seasonal Workers to join their team as Machine and Bagging Operatives on Temp basis.
The main purpose of the job to provide an efficient and affective contract Farm Saved Seed service to our customers.
Duties:
– To assist the FSS unit operator to undertake & carry out the operation of a FSS unit to the specification as detailed by the work ticket. This will include the following basic tasks
– Job Preparation – prepare machines, equipment, materials supplies for planned job
– On arrival at site – set up machine, prepare bags and labels
– FSS operation – control bag filling, monitor chemical coverage of seed, record production, and label bags.
– Assist cleaning machine between varieties and seed lots
– End of operation – Clean and pack away machine and all equipment.
– Leave site clean & tidy
– To adhere to the rules and regulations stipulated under FEPA and COSHH.
– To be aware of the company’s Environmental Management System.
– To ensure that at all times health and safety policies, rules and regulations are adhered to and accidents reported following the correct procedure.
– To protect at all times the confidentiality of all information generated by or provided to the company.
– Any other duties as defined by your Manager/ machine operator.
Pay rate:
£12.63ph
Hours:
Working full time, Monday to Friday with overtime available during the week and the weekend.
