Hours: Mon-Thurs – 2:30pm – 10:30pm / Fri 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Our client is a well-established saw mill who has provided high quality timber products for the construction of industrial, commercial and domestic landscapes for over 60 years. They produce and supply agricultural fence posts, landscaping and play area products.
They are looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for the day to day maintenance activities within the plant, to keep downtime to a minimum, using preventive and reactive maintenance procedures in line with site specific maintenance schedules.
The ideal candidate will have;
Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
Maintenance and fault finding experience.
Heavy Plant Experience
Experience of working in a saw mill is desirable
A willingness to develop in the role
You would need to be flexible as some works must be done after the mill has shutdown.
This is a temporary role initially and will become permanent for the right candidate
The offer:
Up to £16 p/hr
Mon-Thurs – 2:30pm – 10:30pm / Fri 12:00pm – 6:00pm
