Manufacturing Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ideally with an Aerospace manufacturing background
Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing
* Trouble Shooting
* Provide Real Time Problem resolutions
* Liaise with design and quality teams to ensure products are suitable for manufacture and test either using current or identify alternatively methods with required specifications
* Maintain all manufacturing documentation and tooling using correct change control processes
* Undertake investigations on components and assemblies in liaison with material control and Quality department
* Resolve machinery / breakdowns or issues.
* Hands on problems solving
* Evaluate the manufacturing capabilities
* Review and assist regarding the use chemicals in manufacturing (R.E.A.C.H)
* Design Jigs and Fixtures as required
You will need to be a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineer ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with strong NPI and chemicals in manufacturing knowledge .
* Electro-mechanical product manufacturing background
* Knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems, BOMs, Routings and Planning
* Lean manufacturing Processes
* Tooling / Fixture design and implementation
* Hands on resolving machinery / breakdowns or issues.
* Hands on problems solving
* Able to work multiple projects
* REACH experience
* Strong problem-solving skills
* PLC experience beneficial
* Work in a demanding and pressured environment
* Computer literate including Microsoft Suit. MS Projects would be beneficial
