Mealtime Assistant – Marldon Primary School

Part Time 7.5 hours per week (term time only) 38 weeks per annum
Salary: £10.60 per hour (pay award pending)
Marldon Primary School is looking for a Meal Time Assistant, to support pupils during the lunchtime period. The position will be a permanent appointment, working 1.5 hours per day, 11.45am to 1.15pm, over five days, term time only.
This is ideally suited to someone who has experience of working with children in a school environment. You will be required to:
* Supervise and where applicable provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to playtime activities
* Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to individual needs
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and to engage in activities over the lunchtime period
* Promote self-esteem, good behaviour and independence
* Provide feedback where necessary to the Line Manager/Teacher
