Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum
Mechanical Design Engineer required to to support design projects and ensure the convergence of the delivery plans with customer requirements. This is a demanding role working to tight deadlines. This is a full time office based position
You will be responsible for
* Produce engineering models and drawings in line with the requirements of the project parameters (CATIA and Solidworks)
* Prepare drawings and other engineering data required for the manufacturing of the product and data submittal to the customer.
* Work to be carried out to rigorous company procedures.
* Work closely with multi-functional teams on and off site
* Communicate effectively with co-worker, customers and suppliers
* Additional support as required
* This is an Office based role and will require client site visits
* Security Check Required. Must be eligible and UK Based
Essential skills:
* Several years’ experience of Mechanical Design (Sorry No recent Graduates)
* Excellent knowledge CATIA and Solidworks and analysis methods
* Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance). Essential
* Understanding of aerospace standard materials and manufacturing processes
* Experienced working with internal and external stakeholders
* Understanding of processes: ECRs, Concessions
* Experience of Aerospace and Automotive industry standards, regulations and qualification requirements including AS / TS
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work to tight, demanding customer deadlines
* Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team
* Driving license required
* Eligible for UK Security Check
* Office Based Role
