Media Officer
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Media Officer to join Devon & Cornwall Police until the beginning of December 2022. This position is full time, based in Exeter with the option for home working. You will be developing and implementing incident specific media strategies.
Your duties will include:
Providing media updates on incidents and crimes
Training and supporting staff to ensure the organisation is represented appropriately in its communications with the media
Deliver a comprehensive media monitoring and horizon scanning service to ensure both Forces are alert to new stories
Maximise opportunities to generate positive publicity
Requirements:
Successful experience working with the media
Experience working with senior levels within an organisation
Experience and evidence working with key stakeholders
Knowledge of all types of media including online, print and broadcast
