Salary : £56000 – £60000/annum

We are currently recruiting for Media Relations Manager to work within a financial Intuition based in Canary Wharf. 35 hours a week. Hybrid working. (You'll agree your working pattern with your manager). Start asap for 3 months. Up to £60k annually.

Key responsibilities

Promoting the stories of our vital service by working with the media to achieve frequent high impact national, broadcast and trade coverage.
Proactive engagement, building relationships with journalists to increase coverage opportunities for the service.
Enhancing our storytelling capabilities by finding and supporting media ambassadors for the brand and shaping their role in telling our stories.
Providing coaching, briefing and media training for staff so we have experts able to engage with the media to deliver key messages.
Writing media statements, press releases, narratives and key messaging that form media materials to reflect the organisations position in the media.
Monitoring and assessing the external landscape, making quick clear recommendations on handling for incoming media enquiries and responding in a timely way.
Challenging and correcting story inaccuracies and briefing journalists so that stories are balanced and fair.
Reviewing external communications with potential media interest to ensure the work of our service is accurately represented.
Identifying and working with stakeholders and third-party organisations that help us reach new audiences.
Writing news content for online purposes and supporting the digital team with our social media platforms.
Proactive horizon scanning of the external media landscape to increase coverage and engagement with journalists. Experience

Working in a press office or similar fast responsive working environment
Writing and pitching stories to media and understanding data and insights
Having successfully managed or provided professional leadership to a team
Building strong relationships and networks both internally and externally
Influencing, negotiating and persuading a range of stakeholders – including at a senior level
Establishing which channels, tactics and methods are best to reach target audiences
Using common sense and judgement to analyse and interpret complex information to simplify for different audiencesWhy work with Adecco:
