Job: Mixer and Blending Operative
ESS Employment Ltd are looking for Mixing and Blending Operatives to work for our client in Nailsworth. As a Mixing and Blending Operative you will be working in a clean room environment handling food product. You will be weighing products, mixing, using catering equipment and packing in a state-of-the-art unit. Full training is given so we are looking for enthusiastic team players to join our clients small growing team. After a successful trial you will be offered a permanent position as the clients new Mixing and Blending Operative.
Main duties and responsibilities –
1. Weighing vegetables, herbs and spices
2. Mixing and Blending duties
3. Picking, packing and dispatching of products
4. Hygiene Operations (cleaning of equipment, waste management)
5. Food handling and preparation.
6. Measuring liquids
7. Handling some products up to a weight of 25kg so lifting involved
8. Making up and preparing boxes for delivery
9. Putting bags ready for delivery
10. General production duties
11. Keeping working area clean and tidy
12. Some work to be carried out in cold storage areas
13. Adhering to all site rules following induction.
14. PPE and clean room items will be assigned to you. These must be worn at all times. Items to include a disposable hair net, beard net if required, coat and gloves. Trainers and shoes will need to be covered with a disposable cover.
Skills Required –
1. No experience required but experience within a food production environment advantageous
2. Must be able to lift to 25kg (occasional lifting)
3. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
4. Clearly understand the required standards that help minimise the risk to food safety including temperature control, cross contamination of products
5. Completing traceability paperwork
Please note that as you will be working in a food production environment no make-up, jewellery, watches or any type of wrist band are allowed to be worn
