Are you passionate about food development and following food trends? Do you have experience as a Development or Group Chef and exude confidence when engaging and managing a team? If so, we have an excellent opportunity in our Catering Team!
This role is Based in South Kensington within the main production kitchen.
High level of flexibility, creativity and flair. Recognise, understand and adapt offerings to suit differing skills and knowledge of chefs and front of house staff. The ability to execute a planned concept to completion ensuring set standards continue when moved on to the next project. This need to be someone who has a genuine passion for food development, inspiring teams and pushing themselves to improve the customer journey. Ideal candidate will be form a contract catering/ hotel background.
You will support the Executive Chef (Head of Food Production, Procurement and Development) in developing and executing new food concepts, re-branding, troubleshooting and mobilisation of new outlets and produce consistently high quality and inspiring food within gross profit percentages. Assist the HFPPD to plan and co-ordinate the kitchen team to ensure the provision of an effective and efficient service.
Essential requirements
Previous experience of working within the Catering industry, in a high volume and multi-site environment
* Work experience in a position such as Development and/or Group Chef
* Proven successful leadership experience
* A demonstrated creative approach to developing a catering service, specifically in accordance with new food concepts, seasonal and food trends
* A complete understanding of the importance of health and safety at work and associated regulations / legislation requirements
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
You will ideally be comfortable with giving training and possess qualities of a leader
