An exciting opportunity has been created for a Journalist/Reporter at a leading media business.
This is a great opportunity for a bright, aspiring journalist craving a fast-paced and dynamic environment to help grow the new editorial brand online and in print, an exclusive online platform for emerging market bonds and loans professionals, corporate borrowers, and institutional investors, both of which have grown out of our client’s portfolio of leading global debt capital market events
Responsibilities include:
* Sourcing, investigating, and writing news stories, news analysis, and features via all relevant channels
* Creating Podcasts
* Interviewing contacts and senior industry figures on key issues
* Developing and maintaining strong networks, contacts, and relationships and expanding industry knowledge through attending and reporting on industry events
* Keeping up to date with rival trade and wider business press to ensure the company is aware of all relevant issues
* Sourcing data and individual contacts that are unknown/unused by rivals in the market to ensure that the company is producing unrivaled content
Ideal Candidate:
* Possess a Journalism, Finance/ Economics degree (2:1 and above, or equivalent)
* Have a minimum of 12 months’ work experience as a journalist (business news)
* Be extremely enthusiastic and driven be able to listen and adapt quickly
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Will have an understanding of producing video content
* Fluent Spanish or Russian would be a plus but not essential
