The team are looking for a knowledgeable nautical science tutor to join their expanding department.
The role will involve delivering the Nautical Science Qualifications at Higher Education level to students. My client focus a lot on CPD for their teachers and staff, there is a stable, committed team the applicant will become part of and a structured management team.
The role can be an entry level teaching position- meaning no previous experience of teaching necessary- they will teach you how to teach. Having the confidence and willingness to do so however, must come from within the applicant.
What is required from you?
– Officer of the watch unlimited certificate of competency qualification (Ideally A Degree in Nautical Science or level 6 Certificate of Competency equivalent)
– Industry work experience in the nautical science field – sea going experience
-An Academic mind- the role will be teaching HE, so any additional studies or willingness to top up qualifications is an advantage
– Training or teaching experience is not mandatory but a ‘wanting to’ and a ‘can do’ attitude is, obviously if the applicant had some teaching experience this would be advantageous
– To live close enough to commute every day- however there is a generous relocation package.
