New Product Development Manager

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary :

New Product Development Manager | Japanese Food-to-Go | Suffolk

What did the Sushi say to the bee?

Wasabi.

Jokes aside, there’s a reason I work in recruitment and not comedy.

Our client manufactures healthy Japanese food.

Keeping Japanese authenticity at their heart, there are no machines here, topping every nigiri block by hand to give consumers that authentic sushi experience.

Innovation makes sure they keep its spot at the top of the podium, as the number one sushi producer for the UK, being the first to hop on exciting trends and create the freshest new flavours.

Creating both their own branded products and private label offerings for major grocery retailers, you’ll find their products in most major supermarkets without having to look too hard.

As the lead Product Development Manager, you’ll be passionate about restaurants, menus and finding gaps in the market to capitalise on, helping drive the NPD agenda.

With major retailer launches landing in September, you’ll be able to move with pace and get things rolling in the kitchen (no pun intended we’ve already established I’m no comedian).

In terms of your background, they’re flexible, you’ll have experience as a development chef or in a restaurant and be a passionate foodie.
Either way sushi rice understanding is key, it’s more complicated than you think.

Practical bits: Some flex will be considered but ideally you’ll be office based in Suffolk at their privately owned site, a beautiful place to live and work.

Fancy a taste?

Grab some soy sauce and dip your CV in here.

(I mean apply FYI)

Or if you’re too busy rolling super sushi and haven’t had time to update one, drop me a message on LinkedIn and we can arrange a call, my name is Adam Green.
