Job Title: Night Catering Assistant

Location: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan Lane, Wigan, WN1 2NN
Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 22:00 – 06:00 (24 hrs per week)
Payrate: £10.42 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

This is a Temporary Role.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Work to standard operational procedures.
* Preparation of food, this could be within high risk chilled areas, to specified recipes
* Ensuring labelling of products is correct eg product name dates.
* After training could be required to produce cooked foods e.g. soups, gravy, fried, bacon etc.
* Performance of duties in accordance with approved methods, frequencies and standards, adhering to strict food safety standards.
* Meeting deadlines for production of meals as part of a team.
* May be required to take patient menu choices at ward level, offer alternatives where required.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
* Excellent Communication skills
* Knowledge / experience of working in a busy kitchen
* Experience in a catering or similar role
* Excellent customer service
* NHS experience
* Food Safety Level 2
