Salary: £10 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday 19:00 – 04:00 (1 hour break), some Saturdays at 1.5 hourly rate.
Location: Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead HP3
MUST be able to drive due to the hours of work
Company: You will be working in a slaughterhouse so you will see Live & Dead animals. This may be off-putting to some applicants so despite us being a friendly and a welcoming team, this is an environment that may not suit all!
Duties and Responsibilities:
To carry out a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the livestock & yard areas (and factory) are cleaned and disinfected to a high standard ready for the next day production.
To work to a timescale as agreed with you and your Manager/Supervisor.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety practices.
Ensure compliance with food safety practices.
To act in a professional manner at all times.
Any other such duties as may from time to time be necessary, compatible with the nature of the post.
You will need to be physically fit for this role
Qualifications, experience:
Team Working – An ability to work in a team environment working together to develop & continually improve the service
Willingness to undertake additional cleaning hours as required
Demonstrate high personal standards of hygiene & cleanliness
Able to work unsupervised
Able to work hours required in the contract
Previous work experience as a Cleaning Operative required
Understanding of correct methods of cleaning in order to comply with the requirements of the specification
Cleaning: 1 year (preferred) in an industrial / factory setting or cleaning. Use of pressure washers system
Basic English understanding.
