Nursery chef

This is a busy and varied position within a modern and cheerful nursery, you will be job sharing with our existing nursery cook, this position is Tuesday and Wednesday each week 08:30-15:30.
Previous catering experience is essential.
Main Duties
To take responsibility for all kitchen duties including
· To prepare and serve lunch and tea, according to the menu.
· To maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen on a daily basis
· To wash up after each meal and ensure kitchen is clean ready for next meal.
· To maintain safe surroundings at all times, ensuring that health, safety and fire procedures are adhered to.
Communications and Working Relationships
· To communicate respectfully and caring with the children.
· To communicate with all members of staff in a friendly and co-operative manner.
· To always present a cheerful enthusiastic impression towards children, parents and colleagues.
· To maintain a professional and high standard in personal appearance.
· The post-holder must have the Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
Also must have a child- only DBS
