GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a market leading contract catering company who specialise in food for the education sector.
We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Operations Director to oversee the performance of our catering operation for several Primary & Secondary school contracts based across the North London / Hatfield area. You will lead your team in delivering an excellent food operation whilst meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations.
This is a full time, permanent position where you will be offered a highly competitive basic salary of £55,000 plus company car or car allowance. To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate strong contract catering experience and multi-site management.
Operations Director main duties:
· Ensuring that all services detailed within the contract are adhered to, delivered and where possible, enhanced to meet and exceed the clients, customers and company expectations
· You will continually review the performance of each contract and its profitability whilst ensuring costs are controlled but that they don’t affect the service quality nor delivery
· You will ensure food is of the highest standard and in line with the current high street trends
· Managing and supporting the development, progress and performance of all line reporting managers whilst keeping engagement levels high
· You will support the sales function in retaining existing business and obtaining new business opportunities
· You’ll ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures and standards
Operations Director required skills and experience:
· Strong contract catering experience and multi-site management is essential for this role.
· Supporting, coaching and developing teams, whilst ensuring that the team all have the passion to meet high standards and an excellent service level at all times.
· With excellent communication skills, you can lead client meetings, managing their expectations and overcoming challenges.
· As well as being service focused, you are process led ensuring standards, procedures and systems are maintained and followed at all times.
· You’ll need excellent computer skills, the ability to work under your own initiative with the desire to learn and achieve.
