Operations Manager | Bicester | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | £37,000.00 to £40,000 per annum

Our client is a specialist education caterer, producing healthy meals from scratch in their school kitchens.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people is part of the company’s DNA and looking after their teams in each school, making them feel valued and supported, is of paramount importance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team in Oxfordshire to oversee and manage effectively, all aspects of the delivery and service.

Are you the right person for the job?

Previous experience in managing and developing teams in the Education sector
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Keen eye for attention to detail
Responds quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible
Adhere to a strong set of moral, ethical and professional principles
Takes personal responsibility and accountability
A real “people” person, with rounded leadership and planning skills, with a capacity to grow and develop into new areas of expertise as required
Well versed in clarifying client and customer requirements
Ability to work to deadlines
Keeps abreast of market trends and competitor performance
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook
Full driving licence
DBS disclosure will be necessary
What will your role look like?

Acknowledge and promptly respond to all customer queries in a timely and proactive manner
Ensure costs are controlled but that they don’t affect the service quality and delivery
Continually review the performance of each contract and their profitability
Ensure the first class presentation of all areas of responsibility on site
Provide direct liaison with client, customer and catering teams to ensure clear communications of each party’s needs and expectations
Ensure all location employees consistently demonstrate customer care, selling techniques, merchandising skills and knowledge of current promotions
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage, and operate with a focus on innovation, standards and market awareness
Share best working practices in all duties
Lead by example
Manage and support the development, progress and performance of all line reporting manager
Support the sales function in retaining and obtaining new business
Compliance with all Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures and standards
