Order Processing/Shipping Administrator

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well-established company in the recruitment of an Order Processing/Shipping Administrator. You will join a small and friendly team based at their office in the beautiful Peak District National Park. The successful candidate will have a methodical approach, good attention to detail and will be responsible for effectively handling a geographical territory and overseeing the end-to-end order fulfilment process by ensuring accurate order processing and timely shipping in line with departmental KPI’s and processes.
This role requires an effective communicator with good administrative skills and a working knowledge of exporting procedures to act as liaison between customers, internal departments, and Export Agents to ensure deadlines are met and compliance procedures are adhered to. Delivering exceptional customer service is paramount for this role.
Key Duties:
* Receive and review incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Verify product lead times, pricing, and discounts before processing orders.
* Communicate with sales and customer service teams to resolve any order discrepancies or issues.
* Input orders into the company’s business management system.
* Co-ordinate and arrange the shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
* Generate necessary shipping documentation.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Provide excellent customer service by responding to enquiries related to order status, tracking information, and shipping details.
* Proactively communicate any order-related issues, delays, or changes to customers in a timely and professional manner.
* Work efficiently with internal departments and communicate effectively.
* Ensure adherence to shipping regulations, custom requirements, and legal obligations.
* Maintain accurate and organised documentation for all shipped orders
Required Skills & Experience:
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail, with good presentation and IT skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.
* Skilled in Export and Customs Compliance procedures
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. 37.50 Hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00 – 4.45 pm, Friday 8.00 -12.30 pm (Early finish on a Friday).
