We are currently recruiting for Packed Meal Assistants to work in our clients Catering department within the educational sector. This is a full time role working a 40 hours week, hours will be on shift patterns between 7am- 7pm, including some weekends.
The main purpose of the Packed Meal Assistant is to prepare packed meals and plated foods for pupils, sporting events, meetings and events, all in line with the new requirements for the UK Food Information (Amendment) 2019 commonly referred to as “Natasha’s Law.”
Responsibilities;
· Prepare packed meals and other meal requirements
· Supervising the labelling of all packed foods
· Ensure the accurate ingredient and recipe information is recorded
· Advise the Head Chef of quantities required
· Maintain a clean workspace
· Attend Health and Safety and Basic Food Hygiene training
Experience;
· Excellent IT skills
· Possession of NVQ 1 and 2 is essential
· Must have attention to detail
· Saffron would be desirable but not essential
