KPJ Group are working with a Hyde based manufacturer who are looking for a Paint Sprayer to join their team.
The general purpose of the job is to paint steel sections for the assembly bay, re-spray rental fleet conveyors and re-spray existing customer’s conveyors after modifications or refurbishment.
The requirements for the job holder:
-To be able to degrease, prepare and paint using industrial painting equipment.
-To work with a range of hand tools safely
-To work independently and unsupervised.
-FLT Licence would be desirable
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Use your skills and any tools required for the correct performance of your job
-Perform duties in the safest possible manner adhering to safe working practices and wearing correct PPE
-Keep the paint shop as clean as possible
– Maintain working area by putting stock away as soon as possible
-Check the extraction system is working correctly and change the paper filters as required.
-Liaise with immediate supervisor regarding any quality issues and to see that the work is inspected before it enters or leaves The Paint Shop.
-Keep accurate time records for each job worked on.
-Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and containers using lifting aids (full training will be given on the safe use of lifting aids)
-Ideally your should have at least four years’ experience performing similar duties
The above role is very important; customers will look at the quality of the paint finish before looking at anything else, if the paint finish does not look good the perception then is that the machine is not good.
A critical part of your role is feeding information back so the organisation can improve and hopefully make your role easier.
Hours of work: 37 per week
Mon-Thur 8am – 4:30
Fri 8am – 1pm
25 days holiday + stats
You may be required to work overtime when order levels dictate.
The job holder’s main location of work will be at their Hyde premises however you may be asked to work at customer’s premises from time to time.
This a temporary role that will turn permanent for the right candidate
