Our retained client is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic cook to join their small kitchen team based in Chelmsford.
This facility prides itself in the quality of care provided to its residents and has high standards when it comes to the catering also. They are looking for a Cook who is hard working, dedicated and focused, and passionate about providing high quality, nutritious food for their residents. You will be required to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for max 30 residents and staff. Most dishes are traditional English dishes with the exception of the odd Indian or Italian dishes.
The ideal Cook will have completed their relevant NVQ qualifications, have had experience in a previous position at a similar level, and be a hard working team player.
The hours are 25hrs per week ( every other weekend off)
The kitchen opens at 8am and closes 8pm.
Mixture of shifts available
10- 8pm or 8am till 8pm
If you are only looking to work 10 or 15 hrs per week this can also be accommodated.
The successful Cook will:
* Be Punctual and reliable
* Have a Flexible approach to their work schedule
* Have Good verbal skills in order to communicate effectively face to face with pupils, staff and guests
* Participate effectively as part of a team.
* Have Awareness of Health, Safety and Hygiene Regulations
* Car driver is preferred due to location but this venue is accessible by public transport.
