We are seeking a talented and dedicated Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our renowned establishment in London. As a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in our pastry kitchen, working alongside our talented Pastry Chef to create and deliver exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods that will delight our discerning clientele. The schedule is 5 out of 7 days, Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing as a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie?
Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
Contribute to menu planning and development of new pastry items
Ensure consistent high quality and presentation of all pastry products
Follow recipes and production guidelines to maintainstandards
Operate and maintain pastry equipment and tools
Maintain a clean and organised pastry section
Adhere to food hygiene, health and safety, and club policies
Assist in monitoring and controlling food costs and portionsizes
Support the Pastry Chef in inventory management and stock control
Collaborate effectively with the pastry team and other kitchen staff
Contribute to a positive and productive working environment
Attend required training sessions on food hygiene, health and safety, and fire safety
Comply with club codes of conduct, staff regulations, and government legislation
Assist in the training and development of junior pastry team members
Promptly address any maintenance or cleanliness issues in the pastry section
Contribute to achieving and maintaining budgeted costs and targets
Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Pastry Chef to ensure efficient pastry operations
What are we looking for in the new Pastry Demi Chef de Partie?
Previous experience as a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar pastry role
Culinary degree or equivalent certification in Pastry or Baking
Strong knowledge and passion for pastry, desserts, and baked goods
Familiarity with a wide range of pastry techniques and recipes
Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Attention to detail and precision in pastry preparation and presentation
Creative mindset with the ability to contribute to menu development
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
