COMPENSATION:
£35,000 – £40,000/year
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our client is in search of a proficient Pipefitter to join their team on a 6 month contract. The role entails installation, repair, and fabrication of piping, fixtures, and various other systems, requiring familiarity with both commercial and industrial systems. Post-installation, it is essential to inspect and validate each section of the piping for security and the absence of leaks.
* Evaluate plans to comprehend the scope of the project
* Measure designated sections and gather necessary materials
* Adhere to specifications while cutting, bending, and welding materials
* Conduct tests on pipe systems to confirm there are no malfunctions
* Mend and fortify compromised or inadequate systems or pipes
* Securely install piping or tubing segments utilizing welding or other applicable equipment
EXPERIENCE:
* At least 1 year of experience in piping
* At least 2 years of experience as a pipefitter is preferable
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Mechanically biased
* Certifications in Carbon and Stainless Steel Pipe Welding considered an asset.
* Successful completion of vocational programs or trade apprenticeship
* Valid pipefitter license
* Proficiency with both manual and power tools
* Keen attention to detail
* Familiarity with building regulations pertaining to piping systems
* A significant advantage would be experience in hygienic welding of stainless steel dairy/brewery pipework
